Everything you need to know about OrderProof.
OrderProof is coming soon to the Shopify App Store. Once available, you'll click "Add app," authorize the connection, and OrderProof will start monitoring your fulfillments immediately. No configuration required.
OrderProof begins tracking orders from the moment you install it. Historical orders placed before installation are not tracked, but all new orders will be captured automatically.
OrderProof works with all major carriers including USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and any carrier that provides tracking information through Shopify. If Shopify can track it, OrderProof can record it.
No. OrderProof runs silently in the background. It automatically captures fulfillment events as they happen. You only need to interact with it when you receive a chargeback.
OrderProof records a timeline of fulfillment events including: order creation, fulfillment creation, shipment handoff, carrier tracking updates, and delivery confirmation. Each event is timestamped and becomes part of a permanent, immutable record.
When you receive a chargeback, find the order in your OrderProof dashboard and click "Download PDF." This generates a bank-formatted evidence document you can submit directly to your payment processor or bank. The document is structured for quick review by dispute analysts.
Bank reviewers skim evidence quickly. Screenshots are unstructured and require interpretation. OrderProof evidence is formatted specifically for dispute reviewers: summary first, timeline second, conclusion clear. It's designed to be understood in 30-60 seconds.
No. Once an event is recorded, it cannot be changed or deleted. This immutability is intentional and is what gives OrderProof evidence its credibility. The record reflects exactly what happened.
No. Chargeback outcomes depend on many factors including the specific dispute reason and the bank's policies. OrderProof provides the best possible evidence, but we cannot guarantee outcomes. That said, well-documented proof of delivery significantly improves your chances.
Yes. The Free plan lets you track up to 10 orders per month indefinitely. Paid plans also include a 14-day free trial so you can test all features before committing.
We'll notify you when you're approaching your monthly limit. If you exceed it, new orders won't be tracked until the next billing cycle or you upgrade. Existing records remain accessible regardless of your current limit.
Yes. Cancel directly from your Shopify admin at any time. Your records remain accessible for the retention period of your plan, even after cancellation.
OrderProof is billed through Shopify's billing system. Charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice. No separate payment method required.
No. OrderProof operates entirely in the background using Shopify webhooks. It doesn't add any code to your storefront and has zero impact on page load times or checkout performance.
OrderProof accesses order and fulfillment data necessary to create proof records. This includes order numbers, fulfillment status, tracking numbers, and carrier information. We do not access customer payment information or passwords.
Record retention depends on your plan: Free (7 days), Growth (90 days), Pro (1 year). Chargebacks can arrive months after delivery, so we recommend a plan with sufficient retention for your typical dispute window.
Yes. OrderProof uses industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. We're hosted on secure cloud infrastructure and follow security best practices. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
